Obituary: Meat Loaf
Follow-up albums Midnight at the Lost and Found, Bad Attitude, and Blind Before I Stop fared even worse and Meat Loaf wound up declaring bankruptcy. The news was confirmed by the singer’s family in a post on his official Facebook page. Around the same time, Meat Loaf collaborated with lyricist Jim Steinman creating songs that would later become the album “Bat Out of Hell.” The singer first formed a band called Meat Loaf Soul and later gave himself the moniker Meat Loaf in the ’70s. Here he is with Shaun “Stoney” Murphy after the duo was paired together for the 1971 album “Stoney and Meatloaf.” ∙ “Paradise By the Dashboard Light”—one of the longest 45 singles ever pressed, at eight-and-a-half minutes—peaked at No. 39 when released in 1977 and is now considered a rock classic.
“Mother” by Danzig is about censorship, specifically the Parents Music Resource Center, which pushed record labels to put warning stickers on albums with explicit lyrics. Neil Young rarely allows his songs to be sampled, but he let the Canadian group Redlight King use “Old Man” in their 2011 song, also called “Old Man.” Meat Loaf met pianist and songwriter Jim Steinman when Loaf auditioned for his play More Than You Deserve.
His sudden death has left fans wondering about his real cause of death—and we’re sharing everything we know so far below. His first major film role came in 1975 in the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” in which he played Eddie, a delivery boy murdered for his brain by the cross-dressing Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Meat Loaf also appeared in “Wayne’s World” , “Spice World” and “Fight Club” . More recently, he had a role in several episodes of the TV series “Ghost Wars” in 2017 and 2018. The album, elaborately produced by Todd Rundgren, mingled hard-rock power chords, 1950s-style bubble gum and flashes of disco beats in songs that unfolded in multipart suites; the title track stretches nearly 10 minutes. In some ways the album resembled rock-style Broadway musicals like “Hair,” in which Meat Loaf had performed early in his career.

And im not trying to knock down any religion but Catholics are one of the harshest religions when it comes to homosexuals but do they forget about how many priests out there that have molested young boys throughout the past several years.. So, they cannot say that that religion is so against this or that when the catholic community and some of its priests have had some major problems with sexual abuse towards young children and still do to this day.. All Christians in this world are loved for who they are And not for what they are.. So, why in the world cannot we all just get along and all religions realize that they would not have it so good if it were not for some of the rest of us that you call sinners and tell us we belong un hell.. I think these religious groups really need to read back in history to see just who all helped each other out of ruff patches in their lives.. It wasn’t just other baptists or other catholics, it was other Christians if multiple religious backgrounds and some with no religion at all..

Meat Loaf then decided to leave theater and concentrate exclusively on music. Meat Loaf was cast as an understudy for John Belushi in the National Lampoon show Lemmings. It was at the Lampoon show that Meat Loaf met Ellen Foley, the co-star who sang “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” and “Bat Out of Hell” with him on the album Bat Out of Hell. His father was an alcoholic who went on drinking binges for days at a time, which started when he was medically discharged from the U.S.
He released his 12th and now final album, Braver Than We Are, in 2016. That year, he collapsed on stage in Canada – leading the New York Post to wrongly report his death – and subsequently committed to better protecting his health. Despite his cool attitude to fame, Meat Loaf had a nervous breakdown following Bat Out of Hell. A mooted follow-up album, Bad for Good, was blighted by Meat Loaf losing his voice thanks to a combination of touring, drugs and exhaustion.
He was one of the best-selling artists of all time, with worldwide sales of more than 80 million copies. He has also appeared in over 50 movies and television shows, sometimes as himself or as characters resembling his stage persona.
